Griffin - Navigator Crew 2 16 B-25's came from the 17 BG which was made up of the 34th, 37th, 95th, and 89th squadrons. Lawson and his crew crashed in the China Sea after a successful bombing of Tokyo. The B-25 pictured at left is the aircraft used in the movie "30 Seconds Over Tokyo". Our panel painted by re-knowned aviation artist/author Gary Velasco (see photo), was re-created from Lawson's description of the art work in his book "Thirty Seconds Over Tokyo".
